A Bit More About This Property

This cabin has a large, open living area/full kitchen/dining.

 

The living room has a propane fireplace, cozy leather furniture, and a TV with satellite channels. Wall A/C unit is there if needed.

 

There is a full size kitchen with dishes/cookware for your use.

 

The bathroom is large with a tub/shower combo, plus large sink area. A stacking washer/dryer is in the closet.

 

The bedroom has a king-size bed and the private hot tub is on the deck just off the bedroom.

 

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself as well as the private hot tub.

 

This cabin is near the Mogollon Rim and the Petrified Forest National Park.

 

Pets are allowed. We charge a fee of $50 per pet per booking. (Pets are not to be left in the cabin unattended. Please bring your own blankets/towels for your pet. Pets are not allowed on furniture.)

 

No fires are allowed in this community.

 

No refunds will be given for weather-related road closures. We recommend adding Airbnb's travel insurance if you are traveling in the winter.

We enjoyed our stay at the "Talking Rain" cabin. The location was easy to find. It was a relaxing space for my wife and I to have a weekend get away for our anniversary. We also enjoyed the location to nearby hiking and parks. We went to some about 30-45 minutes to the East and West though we could have chosen some even closer if we wanted. We liked exploring the area and visiting the restaurant across the road. We liked using the kitchen and grill for some meals and enjoyed the private hot tub in the back. Very nice! Callie was a great communicator from before booking and through our stay.

I stayed at Callie's home for Labor day weekend. It's a beautiful cabin. Very spacious. But did run into some problems. The 4pm check in was a little to much most places are at 3pm. As soon as we entered we noticed a really bad smell in the entire home. The small wall AC unit in the living room was off so the heat of outside made the smell worse. We came to the conclusion that the smell was coming from the carpet in the living room and bedroom. Smelled like dog urine. We did also notice spider webs on the dining table light fixture when we sat down for dinner. The biggest issue for us was that there is no AC in the bedroom . It was extremely hot and uncomfortable at night. The fans were not enough. It was a beautiful home , we did still enjoy our stay despite all the small hiccups. We didn't want to bother the host with our issues because , we doubted there really wasn't much they can do. For the price , not sure if it's worth it. And probably wouldn't come back. But thank you Callie

Such a cute, clean little cabin. It was PERFECT for a couples weekend getaway. You could walk across the highway to the Bison Ranch shops if you were so inclined. They have a delicious bar and grill across the way, and a fun coffee shop/tap room that had live music. The area is beautiful, the cabin was easy to find and easy to get to. The hot tub was great and all was very private even for being right off the highway. We will stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at this cabin over the 4th of July weekend. We have stayed in several cabins in the area and this was one of our favorites. The cabin was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable which isn’t always the case. It’s also a huge plus that the cabin is pet friendly- we were able to bring our fur baby Otis and that is always important to us. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute place!! Clean with fresh linens. This little cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. The king sized bed was super appreciated - comfy & cozy. The only AC unit is a small “window” sized unit in the living room. This meant the bedroom was warm & difficult to cool. We did go to Walmart & buy a box fan to help. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but it wasn’t enough. The hot tub/spa only heats to 104 degrees. That means the water is like warm. The WiFi was great! It made a big difference because our cell service wasn’t good. The property is just off the freeway, but the road noise did not bother us. It’s a cute little community with friendly people. It’s easy access to several restaurants & shops across the highway. We drove to several lakes & ShowLow. Beautiful area! There were plenty of linens provided. Callie was fantastic at communicating. Overall it was a fun weekend. I don’t know if we would rent again in the Summer because of the warm bedroom.

I think it was priced a little high and thought the check in time of 4pm (you can pay extra for a 2pm check in) was a little inconvenient and surprising considering what we had paid but other than that I highly recommend! It was our anniversary and the cabin was perfect for what we were wanting this weekend. The hot tub was amazing and a king bed is hard to find for smaller cabins so that was great. We did 2 1000 piece puzzles in 2 days and binged movies and relaxed! Thank you!

This cabin is exactly as shown in the photos, super cozy, and really felt like home. My husband and I stayed for two nights for our 21st anniversary, and we really enjoyed it. The cabin was impeccably clean, and there was nothing we needed that was not available to us. The fireplace is a great touch and the full kitchen allowed for us to make meals and really enjoy the space. The bathroom is large and accommodating, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. We slept great! The area felt private and connected to nature. We didn't hear any road noise at all. We enjoyed stargazing as well, as there is very little light pollution. Callie was a wonderful host, very friendly, and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

The Airbnb was very clean, with thoughtful amenities and nicely appointed. Callie was very communicative, and although there were WiFi issues, she did her best to troubleshoot and find us alternative solutions. It’s definitely a sleepy town in winter, but if you are looking for peace and quiet with a few restaurants and hikes nearby this is a good spot.

great place- roomy living room and bedroom and comfortable couches, strong hot shower, comfy bed and linens, kitchen was adequate (with exception of sharp knives) we had an issue with the AC but it was resolved within a couple of hours and a fan was also provided upon request I enjoyed the stargazing immensely while in the hot tub! The exterior benches (worn and uncomfortable) and chairs (creaky) could use updating/replacing It is also right along the 260 highway- noisy at times during the day, but not at all at night We brought our 2 golden retrievers, who loved walking around the neighborhood and nearby trails- there are many nearby, but also very good ones within a 30 minute drive towards Showlow as well as Forest Lakes areas I would call this a place that allows dogs, but not one that particularly welcomes them. $50 per pet penalty fee per stay (my words, not theirs) and nothing provided for pets- not expected, but always a nice touch -we'd definitely stay here again

The cabin was very cozy. The place was clean. Callie, had all the pots and pans, clean supplies, and utensils needed to cook and bake. Everything was as described. The only downside is that the cabin backs up to highway 260, and there is quite a bit of traffic noise if you’re out in the spa or on the patio. You can’t hear as much when in the cabin, unless the windows are open. Besides that, the cabin was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay. Callie was an amazing host; very responsive and friendly. We would recommend this place to others.

The overall location was nice and close to the local restaurant, yet secluded enough to not be disturbed by others and have a clear view of the night sky. The cabin had most amenities needed which made the stay comfortable and home-like. The fireplace was necessary and provided plenty of heat for the cabin, and the other rooms had individual heaters so staying cozy was not a problem. The bedroom had plenty of space for luggage and anything else, with a nice big closet. The hot tub area is private and was very relaxing under the stars.

Pros: Very clean inside. Honestly, the cleanest airbnb I have stayed at! Responsive host Not a ton of rules and check out demands Easy to find Cons: Only 1 TV in the living room. Would be nice to have one in the bedroom too. The spa wasn’t clean (had some sort of sediment on the seats) and only had 1 jet setting. It was also cold and wouldn’t get warmer. No curtains. Be ready to get up with sun…it’s very bright in the bedroom at 6 am. Right on Highway 260… you hear cars driving by all night. Late check in (4pm) and early check out (10 am). We were there Fri to Sun and paid almost $500 for less than 48 hours. Overall, it was a nice little getaway but not worth the money.

The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Note - Right off the 260. There was no noticeable noise at night and we slept with the window open. During the day it was busy at times, but not enough to disturb our peace.

Callie's place was great! Perfect for a weekend getaway. It was super clean upon arrival. The neighborhood was super quiet, peaceful, and safe. We heard minimal traffic from the highway, but it didn't bother us. Callie was super responsive right away with any questions we had. The wifi worked well, and the hot tub was a great amenity!

we loved this cabin. so quiet, but it is close to Hwy 260. very clean and comfortable. the neighborhood is peaceful and super cute. the bonus of the cabin is the private hot tub on the back porch. Lots of restaurants in the area. We've stayed at several dog friendly cabins in the area over the years, but I think we found a favorite with this one. Absolutely no issues. Wifi worked great, cabin stocked with everything we need. Lots of windows to brighten it up during the day. highly recommend this place. 💯

A bright, spacious cabin, cozy and spotlessly clean. Everything, including the Internet, worked well. The scenery in the surrounding area is stunning, well worth a visit from elsewhere in Arizona and beyond. Note that one side of this cabin faces the main road, so there is some traffic noise; this isn't the middle of the woods.

Loved this cabin. Callie was wonderful at responding back anytime I messaged. Unfortunately, we had a change to our trip last minute. Callie was so understanding and helpful and accommodated the changes we had. I’ve used Airbnb before many times, and I would say so far the best Rental ever! It has everything you need, great pricing, quiet and loved the hot tub. Exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be coming back.

By far the best we’ve stayed in! Not only was the cabin completely charming and perfectly cozy, but it was extremely clean, easy to find, and had the right amenities for a weekend getaway including fireplace, grill and hot tub. The location was great - a friendly town with great food, exquisite nature, and easy to get around. It was peaceful at the cabin and a great weekend in nature. Callie was an incredible host. From the time of booking to after check out, she was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and proactive. She gave detailed explanations and knowledgeable recommendations. We highly recommend staying at the Talking Rain cabin. It’s everything you expect from the listing and more! Recommendations for other guests: -Heber market is nearby and great for picking up some snacks or steaks to grill out -Little Gigi’s has great pizza and a fun owner -Three Bears Cafe or June’s Cafe are great breakfast options!

This was a wonderful cabin for two of us and our labradoodle! The dog bed fit perfectly in the living room and there was enough space for all of us as we moved around. The kitchen has the basics of what we needed, the bathroom was very clean and we were given plenty of towels. Finally, the hot tub was the cherry on top as it's an amenity we don't have at home. The cabin is near the highway and there was some noise, but honestly, it didn't bother us at all in our beautiful surroundings!

Callie's cabin for 2 was a perfect quick get away! The cabin was very clean and had just about whatever you'd need. The bed and couches were comfortable and the hot tub was relaxing. The cabin is sitting very close to the 260 but we never had any noise issues and it still felt semi private . Callie was a very responsive host and always very kind!

We loved this cabin! It was a good thing we did as the weather was terrible and we spent almost all our time inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outside grill was easily accessible. The hot tub was set up before our arrival and the fireplace and heaters were also turned on to make for a comfortable arrival. Wifi worked great and I believe there was also DishTV hooked up as well. Callie sent clear and concise instructions for entry a couple days before our arrival and she remained available throughout our stay.

The stay at this cabin was incredible! Callie made it easy to check in/out, and the entire stay she was quick to respond with any questions we had. When we arrived the fireplace and jacuzzi were ready to go making it such a relaxing experience! The photos don’t show how beautiful, clean, and new the home is. And it had all the amenities we needed! It’s located in a small town, and the cabin is walking distance to a nice restaurant/bar! There was also plenty of snow this February. Callie and this cabin made our stay worth it!
